Five of the best London based burger joints to try

By Chloe Grayson

London really is a foodie’s dream location to visit for any type of cuisine, but if you ask us you just can’t go wrong with a classic burger. With so many London based burger restaurants to choose from, we thought we’d share with you a list of our top five so you can also indulge on some of the best patties in town.
To make it even better, all of these burger joints are taking part in the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, offering up to 50% off food and non-alcoholic drinks every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday until the end of the month. There’s not long left, so make sure to head down to one of these spots before it's too late.

Lucky Chip

Lucky Chip is a favourite, not just because of its amazing burgers but also because of its wide selection of fries. When we say selection of fries we aren’t talking about your standard fries, although of course they are available too. We’re talking cheese fries, truffle cheese fries and spicy mayo cheese fries which are all a must to try. The go-to recommended burger has got to be the El Chappo, featuring an aged beef patty, smoked bacon, roasted jalapeños, blue cheese and aioli. You can find this gem in Islington seven days a week and London Fields at Netil Market Wednesday-Sunday.

Mooshies

Located in Brick Lane, Mooshies serves delicious plant-based burgers, hot dogs, sides and handcrafted sauces that are guaranteed to make you come back for more. Their signature burgers include the ‘beef’ burger made from black beans and quinoa, the fillet-om-fish which is made from aubergine and served with nori seaweed, vegan cheese and tartare sauce as well as a delicious pulled jackfruit burger.

Haché

With plenty of delicious patties and buns, small plates and salads available to order, we just had to include popular burger chain Haché in our top five. This amazing burger joint has been in London for over 15 years and has gone from one restaurant in Camden to seven across the city. The burger menu features chicken, steak, lamb as well as three plant-based patties. You can find Haché in Shoreditch, Chelsea, Camden, Clapham, Balham, Kingston or Holborn.

Shake Shack

Did you know... Shake Shack burgers are made from 100% natural Aberdeen Angus Beef which is grass-fed on Scottish pastures? This American fast food chain made its way to London back in 2013 and it’s been an obsession of ours ever since. With several locations scattered around the city, there is definitely no excuse not to try out this burger spot for ultimate food goals.

Dine in their locations in Canary Wharf, Leicester Square, Soho, Westfield Statford, Tottenham Court Road, Covent Garden, Brent cross, Victoria Nova or Mansion House. Delivery only available in Battersea, Bermondsey and Swiss Cottage.

Burger & Lobster

For a bit more of a formal dinner and drinks vibe, why not try out Burger & Lobster. If the name didn’t give it away, this place specialises in both burgers and lobster with the menu offering combos of both, as well as burgers topped with lobster for those who want the best of both worlds. Choose from their locations in Bond Street, Bread Street Knightsbridge, Leicester Square, Mayfair, Soho or West India Quay.
