Updated: Feb 18, 2019

By Lauren Harmes

The term “coffeeshop” means something very different in Amsterdam than in the rest of the world – as is the culture of smoking weed while enjoying a hot beverage that the city is known for. There is an abundance of coffeeshops in the city known for its cannabis cultures, so it can be overwhelming to know which to choose. We’ve listed our favourites below.

The Bulldog

The oldest coffeeshop in the city proudly stands at the top of our list. Opened before marijuana was legal, this homage to cannabis culture slap bang in the middle of the Red Light District should be your first port of call on your weed wanders.
