The day is nearly upon us to show the women that brought us into the world, helped us grow or were just there when we needed them most how much we love them.

Mothers deserve all the praise they get, so to help you shower yours with everything she wants this year, we’ve listed the top 10 treats to spoil your mum this Mother’s Day.

Does your mum love her soaps? Then get her down to Little Nan’s newest spot! Inspired by Eastenders and paying tribute to the likes of Peggy Mitchell, Ian Beale and co, this South Lambeth pub will transport your mum to the Queen Vic and you into the good books!

Expect naff décor, Royal Family china and pop culture posters while sipping on Eastenders-themed cocktails.

If there’s something mums don’t get to do enough of, it’s relaxation. So what better way to spoil her on Mother’s Day than a day in a spa? 7. Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams

If you’re anything like us, then your first foray into fashion was drowning your feet in your mum’s heels and raiding her make up bag. Hopefully your tastes have come on a little since then, but fashion is a fun way for mother and daughter (or son!) to bond. This exhibition at the V&A Museum is the largest Dior exhibition ever staged in the UK and displays over 500 objects and 200 rare haute couture garments. After all of that culture, you can head over to The Franklin Hotel which is serving a Dior-inspired menu offering a colourful array of decadent savouries and luxurious treats prepared by Michelin-starred chef Alfredo Russo.

8. Top Girls

Mother’s Day is all about celebrating powerful, inspirational women, and what better way to do this than to enjoy a play focusing on just that? 30 years after its premiere, Top Girls returns to the National Theatre this year and is about Marlene – the first women to head the Top Girls employment agency, and with aspirations to follow in the footsteps of optimistic women and Margaret Thatcher leading the way in the 1980s. This feminist play will leave your mum and yourself invigorated and ready to conquer the world.

9. Calligraphy

Learning a new skill while eating cake, bonding with your mum and making new friends will definitely result in a successful Mother’s Day! Head down to the Mother’s Day special of professional calligrapher and designer Alice Gabb’s classes where you will learn the basics of calligraphy – from the basics up to how to master the art. Hosted at Carousel in Marylebone, you can enjoy the class itself for £55, or add lunch for an extra £20.

10. Sky Garden

When it comes to Mother’s Day, the sky should be the limit – so taking your mum to London’s highest public garden will do the trick!

Enjoy spectacular views across the capital before indulging in one of the Garden’s restaurants, all the whole soaking up its incredible atmosphere.

Fenchurch Restaurant is offering an elegant three-course set menu for £60pp, or if you fancy a more laid-back experience, Darwin Brasserie will be serving a three-course brunch for £49.50pp.
