There are many out there who will agree that the only thing better than Christmas itself is getting to let your hair down at your work Christmas party. The fun, the laughter, the fact your company's paying for everything: what's not to love? London is undoubtedly the best city in the world for this annual past-time and here are some of the most exciting venues which come highly recommended for 2019:

1. Natural History Museum (South Kensington, SW7)

Oh yes, if your company is big enough and willing to go that extra mile for their employees, they can actually hire out the Natural History Museum for your Christmas party! Can you honestly think of anything better than getting dressed up for dinner and dancing amongst the fossils?

2. Primo Bar (Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London, SE1)

Primo Bar has already made a very respectable mark on the live music scene in London and has an absolutely fantastic roster of musicians who will ramp up the enjoyment of any Christmas party. And then there is their fabulous location; set across the Thames from the gorgeous backdrop of the Houses of Parliament.

3. The Piano Works (Farringdon and West End)

Another venue famed for its musical influence; The Piano Works pride themselves on their Christmas party packages, which guarantee a night of non-stop music and cocktails. It’s also very much worth noting that all their musicians take requests…

4. Bounce (Farringdon and Old Street)

Having an activity to bring employees together is never a bad thing (as long as it’s not a forced-fun team building exercise!). However, your company needn’t worry here because playing merry ping pong in a bar with your mates is pretty much a fun night guaranteed.

5. TOZI Restaurant (Pimlico, SW1V)

There’s no way any employees will be complaining if their company chooses to spoil them with an array of delicious Venetian food and wine. TOZI also has a fantastic large table in its stylish terracotta tiled room, which couldn’t be more perfect for larger groups.

6. London Transport Museum (Covent Garden, WC2H)

Anyone thinking that the London Transport Museum would be a rather drab venue for a Christmas party will eat their words when they see they amazingly glamourous events they put on here. It also has two floors of motor history for party-goers to immerse themselves in, including a disused Metropolitan line carriage.

7. ArcelorMittal Orbit (Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford)

Now this would definitely be one to boast about; a Christmas party inside the structural emblem of the 2012 London Olympics. This definitely springs to mind as a suggestion for companies that have had a particularly good year, and why stop there when you can bring in an array of live entertainment to keep the wow factor going.

8. Flight Club Darts (Bloomsbury / Islington / Shoreditch / Victoria)

Who would have thought that darts would have such a resurgence? Gone are the days of it being viewed as a sport that old men play in the pub; it is now a bonafide cosmopolitan activity and therefore worthy of any work Christmas party.

9. ICE BAR (Mayfair, W1B)

Even though it’s been going for donkey’s years now, the ICE BAR hasn’t lost any of its unique appeals. I mean, how often do you get to order a drink from a bar made of ice, drink it from a glass made of ice and then sit down in a room made completely of… well… ice?

10. Vagabond Battersea Power Station (SW11)

The excitement surrounding the new development at Battersea Power Station hasn’t lost any of its momentum and consequently, Vagabond Wines’ residence here is still hugely popular amongst groups looking to learn about wine and drink a whole lot of it too.
