LULU LE VAY, MARCH 2018

It’s London beer week! So, in celebration of what us Brits do best, here is our guide to London’s best boozers, from pints in posh glasses to lager in steel tankards. Hic!

The Coach & Horses (29 Greek Street, Soho, London W1D 5) Has to be at the top of our list. A Soho institution. Vegetarian and vegan pub, with no music, and more local characters singing along to the piano than you can shake a carrot at.

The Southampton Arms(139 Highgate Road, London NW5 1LE) Talking of pianos, this diminutive but atmospheric gem in North London has locals tinkling their ivories, as well as boasting an envious range of ales and pork bap sarnies.

The GunIf you want to be in with the cool crowd, then head to the Gun immediately. Small, fun, great music and amazing food. What’s not to love?

The Auld Shillelagh

(105 Stoke Newington Church Street, London N16 0UD) The best Irish pub for quality beers and an authentic fiddle (we mean music, deviants) in buzzing Stoke Newington.

The Trinity Arms

(45, Trinity Gardens, Brixton, London SW9 8DR)

This Brixton pub has been the fabric of the community for over two decades. A hop, skip, and a pint away from the hectic high street, this is the perfect haven for a beer and burger.

The Rake

(14a Winchester Walk, London SE1 9AG) This is a fantastic boozer for craft beer lovers. However, be prepared to splash out – a pint of Cloudwater North West Double IPA will set you back £13.40.

The French House

(49 Dean Street, Soho, London W1D 5BG)

Another must-visit Soho institution. Actors, writers and locals mingle and actually converse – no phones or screens allowed, and no music played.
