Yes it’s cold outside, yes it’s probably raining, but it’s always a pleasure to be outdoors and these places have got you covered (literally). Here’s our guide to some of the best winter terraces that London has to offer.

1. Roof East

Sitting atop a car park in Stratford, Roof East is a cozy bazaar serving up hot buttered rum, music, a curling club and stunning views. Don’t miss out on their pop-up food offering if you’re there too, there’s something delicious for everyone.

2. Skylight LondonBoasting Europe’s only rooftop ice-rink this is one terrace not to be missed. Skylight is the rooftop bar at Tobacco Dock featuring igloos , and fondue and ice hockey and huts and drinks and… we could go on but I expect you should probably see for yourself.

3. Pergola Paddington

Pergola is a fully enclosed terrace with four indie street food spots to choose from and two well stocked bars and tunes ‘til 11pm. Sit down and dine at the long tables or stay later for a drink and dance - whichever you decide Pergola will keep you toasty during the cold winter.

4. Queen of Hoxton Rooftop (Lady Celeste’s Winter Rooftop)

Drink and feast on the Rooftop terrace of this famous London establishment. This year they’re throwing back to a Moulin Rouge theme with a decadent decked out tent and firepits.

5. Aviary

Cozy up under the stars with a view of the London skyline in your very own igloo. Running from November until March, this one’s a little pricier but definitely an experience for the romantics out there.
